Objectives:
As the previous "Short Course in Mathematical Modelling of Infectious Diseases" held in January 2006 received much positive feedback, the Centre for Health Protection is going to organize another short course with the support of the Scientific Committee on Advanced Data Analysis and Disease Modelling, to raise awareness and understanding in modern computational methods in the study and control of communicable diseases. This upcoming Short Course specifically aims at facilitating understanding and application of geographic information system (GIS) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) methods among health care professionals. We hope to help participants make sense out of the "conclusions" drawn from complementary modelling approaches, through understanding the techniques and underlying assumptions.

Language: English

Organizer: Centre for Health Protection, Department of Health, HKSAR

Target audience Healthcare professionals who are interested in GIS and CFD
