Childhood Influenza Vaccination Subsidy Scheme (CIVSS) 2012/2013 starts from 24 September 2012. All Hong Kong children who are aged 6 months to less than 6 years OR attending a kindergarten or child care centre in Hong Kong are entitled to a HK$130 Government subsidy per dose of seasonal influenza vaccination received from private doctors enrolled in the CIVSS. In Hong Kong, influenza is usually more common in periods from January to March and from July to August. It takes about 2 weeks after vaccination for antibodies to develop in the body. Get vaccinated early to ensure protection.
