World Health Day 2022 – Our Planet, Our Health

World Health Day 2022 – Our Planet, Our Health
2022-04-04

World Health Day is celebrated each year on 7 April to mark the anniversary of the founding of the World Health Organization (WHO) and to highlight a priority area of global public health concern.

WHO estimates that more than 13 million deaths around the world each year are due to avoidable environmental causes. This includes the climate crisis which is the single biggest health threat facing humanity. The climate crisis is also a health crisis.

The theme of World Health Day 2022 is “Our Planet, Our Health”. WHO will focus global attention on urgent actions needed to keep humans and the planet healthy and foster a movement to create societies focused on well-being. Please visit the WHO website (https://www.who.int/campaigns/world-health-day/2022) for more information.
