"Captain CHP" is a chatbot which operates on natural languages processing and machine learning technologies. Given the great variety of enquiries and limitations of machine learning, its response may not be always perfect. We will strive to improve the accuracy of "Captain CHP" by learning the suitable answers to various questions through conversations with users. Besides, "Captain CHP" requires the support of JavaScript. If JavaScript support is turned off in the browser, "Captain CHP" does not work as well.
"Captain CHP" supports textual interactions with users. Users may also use the voice-to-text function of smartphones and tablets to communicate with "Captain CHP". It is advisable to enter the question in a complete sentence in the same language, including the name of the disease or health problem and the required information as much as possible, such as “What can you do to prevent hypertension?” or “Prevention of hand, foot, and mouth disease” etc.
"Captain CHP" supports English, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese. Users can choose different languages from the language menu at the top left-hand corner of the dialogue panel. The Government uses an online translation software to translate the Traditional Chinese version of its pages into Simplified Chinese version on this website. If there is any inconsistency or ambiguity between these two versions, the Traditional Chinese version shall prevail.
