Stress Management

Facts

Stress is a fact of everyday life and a certain level of stress is beneficial in preparing us for a challenge. However, too much stress, if not managed properly, can seriously affect ones physical and mental well-being, and increases the risk of a wide range of health problems, such as gastric ulcer and heart disease.

Many men like to relieve stress by doing exercise or leisure activity. But at the same time, men are more likely to take risky behaviours, such as alcohol drinking and smoking, when facing stress, and less likely to relieve stress through talking with somebody, when compared to women.
