Question

I need to pass water (twice every three hours) frequently. I also have to go to the toilet at night. I find that I have to wait for a while to pass water. I'm afraid there is some problem with my kidneys. If I have kidney disease, where can I go for help? Thank you.

Answer

According to your mail, you symptoms include urinary frequency, nocturia and urinary hesitancy. These symptoms may be caused by problem in the prostate gland (for example, benign prostatic hyperplasia), in which case you may also have weak stream of urine. Other causes of urinary frequency include diseases of urinary bladder (for example, inflammation or irritable bladder), urethritis or disturbance of endocrine system (for example, diabetes mellitus or diabetes insipidus). You should tell your doctor the symptoms and let him/her help you.
