Arrangement for 2026/27 Seasonal Influenza Vaccination School Outreach Programme (SIVSOP) (Latest Information)Vaccination is one of the most effective ways to prevent seasonal influenza and its complications. To increase seasonal influenza vaccination (SIV) uptake amongst school students and to facilitate schools in arranging outreach vaccination, the Government launches the SIVSOP for all schools including secondary schools, primary schools, kindergartens, kindergarten-cum-child care centres, child care centres, special schools and special child care centres. Submit e-consent via the eHealth App2026/27 SIVSOP will introduce a new Electronic Consent Form (e-consent form) feature. Parents can use the e-consent form on the eHealth mobile application (eHealth App) to submit consent forms for their children to receive SIV under the SIVSOP. This new measure makes it easier for parents to submit consent forms for their children before the start of the school year and streamlines the administrative procedures for schools and healthcare service providers, enabling students to receive SIV earlier and safeguarding their health. Please click here for more information. The Department of Health (DH) has issues school-specific QR codes to participating schools for distribution to parents. The QR codes have become effective on August 17. Parents already registered with eHealth accounts can scan the QR code and use the e-consent form on the eHealth App to submit consent forms for their children to receive SIV under SIVSOP. If parents have not received the QR codes, please contact your school as soon as possible for arrangement. List of Awardees of "SIV School Outreach Commendation Scheme"The DH will continue to implement the "SIV School Outreach Commendation Scheme" this season. The purposes of the scheme are to commend schools/children care centres (CCCs) that committed to encourage students to receive SIV which achieved high student vaccination rates, and to motivate other non-awarded schools/CCCs to make further efforts in encouraging students to receive SIV. Schools/CCCs with outstanding student vaccination rate will be awarded a certificate of commendation. Please click here for the list of awardees for the 2025/26 season. |
