Special arrangement: receiving nasal spray live attenuated influenza vaccines and injectable inactivated influenza vaccines under the Vaccination Subsidy Scheme
The Government has allocated extra nasal spray live attenuated influenza vaccines (LAIV) and injectable inactivated influenza vaccines (IIV) to doctors enrolled in the Vaccination Subsidy Scheme to provide vaccination to eligible Hong Kong residents. The above-mentioned free or subsidised programmes/schemes do not cover all types of vaccines. In addition to the vaccines included in the above programmes/schemes, private doctors may also provide other vaccinations to individuals for protection against certain infectious diseases. These vaccines include chickenpox vaccine, Haemophilus influenzae type b vaccine, meningococcal vaccine, hepatitis A vaccine, rotavirus vaccine and combined vaccines, etc..
